Day 1. We landed in Denver around 11am and went straight to the rental car place. By this point we were starving so we decided to head into downtown Denver and pick a highly rated spot recommended by the locals - The Cherry Cricket. This place is known for their burgers and boozy shakes. It was so delicious and just what we needed to fuel the rest of our day.
Walking around downtown Denver is so fun! There are so many artsy shops, cool coffee shops and other stores to fit your fancy. Basically anything and everything to help pass the time before we could check into our AirBnb. Above is a photo on the day we checked in, and then the morning after it snowed 3 inches!
We organized a couples shoot for our first night in Colorado and i'm so happy we did! We drove up to Boulder, CO and met up with an old friend. Luckily the rain and snow held off just long enough for the shoot and then a DOWNPOUR of snow began.

Day 2. We woke up to a beautiful snow in Denver and had the best breakfast at Snooze. For anyone who hasn't tried Snooze, you have to go! After breakfast, we walked through Cheesman Park in the snowy winter wonderland - SO DREAMY!
Our next stop was: Colorado Springs. We decided to go and visit the Broadmor and Seven Falls first thing once we arrived in Colorado Springs. What a beautiful adventure this was!
Next: Garden of the Gods. We made plans to have a photoshoot by Lillie Vaughan Photography so we could have some nice professional photos of us too! These turned out AMAZING and we are so happy with them.

Day 3. Our first stop was Pikes Peak! Pikes Peak is the highest summit of the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, in North America. Since it had snowed a ton the night before, we couldn't make it to the very top - Mile 16, however we made it to Mile 14 and it was still spectacular. These views were incredible!
After Pikes Peak, we started our journey to Twin Lakes. This was my absolute favorite location.
Day 4. We travelled through three blizzards over the next 24 hours in the Rocky Mountains. It was such a cool experience to see this much snow in one day. We stayed the night in Dillon, Colorado and the next morning we headed to Breckenridge. What a cool little town!
On the way from Breckenridge back to Denver, we stopped at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, which was so cool! We spent our last night back in Denver and we explored the city! We found some of the best Mexican food and margaritas in Downtown Denver.
Our Trip was the best! We are so happy to have experienced Colorado together for the first time. We will definitely be back to this gorgeous piece of earth.
